Wednesday, April 15th

Dante: students have been reading Dante's The Inferno since March 31st.

Agenda:
1) Groups will meet for 10-15 minutes about their presentation and materials. Isackson will come around the groups asking them about their progress.
2) We will watch the movie What Dreams May Come. Isackson will explain the t-chart students should use to take notes through the film for discussion upon completion.
3) We will stop the movie with thirty minutes remaining to allow for reading time.

Homework for Friday:
1) By Friday student should be read up to Canto 21.
2) Isackson is going to go around and check binders: up to Canto 21 on reading list, character list of a character for every circle of hell, and Canto questions complete through 20.

Homework for Monday:
1) Read up to 29
2) Quiz question on symbolism and allegory

Tuesday, April 14th

Dante: students have been reading Dante's The Inferno since March 31st.

Monday's Agenda:
1. Mr. Isackson will go around to groups today and ask: 1) What canto they are thinking of doing? 2) Who have they decided to the put in the INFERNO? 3) Who is doing what for the presentation?
2. Students will read while Isackson is going around to groups.
3. By the end of the hour students will take a quiz over Canto X.

Friday, April 10th

Dante: students have been reading Dante's The Inferno since March 31st.

Friday's Agenda:
1) BINDER CHECKS - students have been keeping a reading chart, character chart, and canto chart while reading. Today students will be given points for maintaining those charts in their English binders. In addition to checking that students are keeping the charts this check is also a chance to answer questions students may have about the charts after only reading the first four cantos.
2) Reading - time will be given in class for students to continue their reading and ask questions in class.
3) Students were told on Wednesday that they would have a timed writing quiz. If questions about the binders or class discussion does not allow time for the quiz, it will not be given.
